Tongue of Unwilling Recognition
The tongue in this jar of special preserving fluids was cut fresh from the mouth of a ritually prepared heretic. If touched to a genuinely holy object, it will shrivel and blacken. While this makes it a useful tool in determining the providence of artefacts and uncovering fake relics, doing so means to employ the work of the heretic.
The tongue can be used multiple times as long as it does not touch a holy object.
In Dark Heresy and its related Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay games Rogue Trader, Deathwatch, Black Crusade, and Only War, using the tongue causes 1 CP. Properly prepared tongues are very rare.
In Wrath & Glory, using the tongue triggers a DN 2 Corruption Test. Properly perpared tongues are very rare with a value of 4 and have the Inquisition keyword.
