The DN27 is a stand-alone gauss operated grenade launcher for standard 40mm grenades. The weapon features a simple composite construction frame housing its electro-magnetic firing mechanism and is fed from sturdy detachable box magazines containing 3 grenades or drums with up to 11 grenades.
The DN27 is mostly issued by DarkNight as an infantry support weapon on war worlds, though it has also been obeserved being used in some particularly heavy terrorist attacks on Mort and other industrial worlds.
The weapon itself weighs 3.4 kg. It is not readily available on the Black Market.
