Alphios River Monitor
Alphios river monitors are a modular modification kits to upgrade locally requisitioned or constructed on the spot vessels into semi-standardised riverine warships for use by the Imperial Guard. Armour plating is retrofitted onto the hulls and upper works and multiple heavy weapons are added, chiefly two Leman Russ turrets complete with battle cannons afore and a single Hydra flak assembly or alternatively a Demolisher turret to the aft, and a collection of twin-linked heavy bolters either in their own turrets or with heavy gun shields to either side.

2nd Megalea River Wardens
On their homeworld of Megalea, the river wardens patrol the extensive channel systems, rotting industrial harbours, and wild rivers criss crossing the planet and through which most of its economic lifeblood runs. As a regiment inducted into Imperial service, the 2nd River Wardens begin each deployment with constructing Alphios river monitors from the modular kits carried by the regiment’s supply train, then commence to their traditional role of riverine security and warfare on whatever alien world the currents of war have driven them to.
