Thrinakia Pattern Tarantula – Homer in Warhammer 40,000

A Reading from Homer by Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema
Homer-a-Day, Day 29: Thrinakia

Thrinakia Pattern Tarantula
The Thrinakia pattern of the Tarantula sentry gun system is manufactured by only a very few forge worlds. This is not only due to the highly complex weaponry carried by the pattern – a mighty twin-linked plasma cannon – but also because the advanced fire control and logic circuitry, including a far more alert machine spirit, necessitated by this choice of weapon. As such, the pattern is usually only found in the hands of especially trusted and honoured Skitarii formations or as part of the perimeter defenses of some of the most holy sites of the Mechanicus.

The Thrinakia pattern follows the rules of a Metalica pattern Tarantula but mounting the twin-linked plasma cannons of the Hadd pattern (with clip increased to 96).

yandere: […] Homer weeks for 40k.
blut_und_glas: […] Homer-a-Day?

Homer-a-Day – one Homer inspired Warhammer 40,000 article per day, for one month. Pure hubris, incited when a stroll through our own archives led first to reexamining the Odysseus Pattern Astartes Greatbow and then to the exchange quoted above.

Don’t uncork what you can’t contain.
