After nearly two and a half years, we are revisiting our concept of the first emperor of China’s army of terracotta warrior statues as a playable race for The Red Star, with a racial feat exclusive to the Terracotta Warriors:
You were crafted with some type of equipment as part of your clay body. No mere decoration, the same energy that infuses your body and lends you life also renders this equipment functional.
Prerequisites: Terracotta Warrior
Benefit: You may select any one piece of general equipment. It must be of medium or smaller size and its Purchase DC must be 20 or less. The selected equipment has to be usable by you without letting go of it, e.g. a ghillie suit would be okay as you wear it but a pair of handcuffs would not (unless you only ever cuff yourself to someone or something), in the same way a concealed carry holster would be okay as you keep it on your body and a weapon goes into it but a suppressor for a rifle would not as it goes on the rifle, and a pair of electro-optical binoculars would be okay worn on strap but a set caltrops would not as you need to drop them to use them.
If the item requires some sort of power or charges, these are provided by your own life force. This causes no damage or other impairment to you, but the equipment immediately becomes unpowered if it is removed from your body.
The selected equipment is an integral part of your body and normally cannot be removed. You cannot voluntarily let go of it or give it to another character. Neither can other characters take it from you. The only way to remove it from you is by “amputation”, which requires a dedicated operation (causing 2d6 points of damage to you) and is not possible in combat.
Even if amputated, you will immediately regenerate the equipment once you are returned to full hitpoints.
Amputated equipment is not usable by other characters as it transforms into brittle clumps of inert terracotta as soon as it is removed from your body.
Special: You may take this feat multiple times.
