Volunteer Assault Trooper
The Red Fleet as an organisation shows little adversity to casualties in achieving its goals. Yet, there are odds and losses even the most hard nosed Red Fleet Officer will be unwilling to stomach. It is then, that the volunteer assault groups come in. Drawn – with precious little volunteering going on – from the ranks of the special labour camp inmates drafted into service with the Fleet, they are given no armour and what weaponry and equipment is deemed expendable and still sufficient to the task before them, then sent out on reconaissance in force against prepared defences, on frontal assaults against strongpoints or on obstacle and mine clearing in enemy killing zones.
Special: The character has to be convicted to serve in the Special Labour Camps. This usually means having 1 or more levels in Zek base class.
Special: A Zek may freely multiclass into the Volunteer Assault Trooper advanced class.
Hit Die: 1d10
Action Points: 6 + one-half character level, rounded down, every time the character attains a new level in this class.
The Volunteer Assault Trooper’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are as follows.
Climb (Str), Concentration (Con), Demolitions (Int), Disable Device (Int), Gamble (Wis), Hide (Dex), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Listen (Wis), Move Silently (Dex), Profession (Wis), Sense Motive (Wis), Speak Language (none), Spot (Wis), Survival (Wis), Swim (Str), Tumble (Dex).
Skill Points at Each Level: 5 + Int Modifier.

All of the following are class features of the Volunteer Assault Trooper advanced class.
Starting at 1st level, a Volunteer Assault Trooper adds her class level to her Defense as well as to her Reflex and Fortitude saves.
At 2nd and again at 4th level, the Volunteer Assault Trooper gets a bonus feat. The bonus feat must be selected from the following list, and the character must meet all the prerequisites of the feat to select it.
Alertness, Athletic, Combat Expertise, Combat Reflexes, Diehard, Dodge, Elusive Target, Endurance, Great Fortitude, Heroic Surge, Improved Damage Threshold, Improved initiative, Iron Will, Ligthning Reflexes, Low Profile, Run, Stealthy, Toughness
Beginning at 3rd level, a Volunteer Assault Trooper may spend Action Points to increase damage rolls she makes.
When she is unemcumbered and wearing no armour, a 5th level Volunteer Assault Trooper may add her Wisdom or Intelligence modifier (whichever is higher, minimum +1) to her Defense.
Upon reaching 5th level, a Volunteer Assault Trooper may opt to receive a frontline amnesty. If she does, she must trade in all her levels in Volunteer Assault Trooper to immediately gain the same number of levels in any combination of the following classes: Hailer, Red Fleet Officer, Red Fleet Sorceresss, and Red Trooper.
