The outer surface of the airship is completely covered in solar cells which provide power to both the main turbines as well as to the generators extracting lift gas from the surrounding air. On sunlit worlds, and barring major accidents there is no necessity for a Sunlighter airship to ever touch ground apart from the whims and needs of the crew.
