Epic Roleplay – Alternate Talents

Alternate Talents
When you would normal gain one of the talents below, you may instead choose to gain one of the listed alternate versions of the talent. Any alternate version still counts as the talent for determining whether you possess it or not.

Ambassador
Ambassador (Blood Brother) – your Champion and Inspiring Leader talents also affect the faction you are an Ambassador to.

Bionic Enhancements
Bionic Enhancements (Bionic Rebuild) – you may remove all of your wounds, aging effects, and any Blind, Feeble, Ignorant, Lost Arm, Mindless, Slow, and Untrained talents you might possess.

Crack Shot
Crack Shot (Armourbane) – you improve your attacks save modifier by -1. If the retinue has more than one attack die, it requires one Crack Shot (Armourbane) per attack die for the improvement to come into effect.

Daemonic
Daemonic (Eye of the Gods) – you may use Chaos Reward Cards to protect yourself (and the retinue) as a Greater Daemon.
Daemonic (Immortal) – you do not make aging rolls.

Die Hard
Die Hard (Ageless) – double the age at which you make your first aging roll.
Die Hard (Flee!) – you may voluntarily go onto Fall Back orders, while on Fall Back orders, your movement rate is tripled. At least half the retinue must possess Die Hard (Flee!) for the retinue to benefit from the talent.

Exceedingly Cool
Exceedingly Cool (Unfazed) – you ignore modifiers to morale tests.

Extremely Skilled
Extremely Skilled (Eclectic Training) – you gain three skills (other than Forbidden Lore, Scholastic Lore, or Language) of your choice.
Extremely Skilled (Expert) – you gain one skill (other than a Forbidden Lore, Scholastic Lore, or Language) of your choice, you have a +2 modifier to all skill tests using this skill.
Extremely Skilled (Jack of All Trades) – you may test an unknown skill (other than a Forbidden Lore, Scholastic Lore, or Language) at a -2 penalty.

Ignorant
Ignorant (Senile) – roll three times on your career’s skill table, you lose any rolled skills you already possess and you can never gain any rolled skills you do not already posssess.

Lavishly Equipped
Lavishly Equipped (Signature Wargear) – roll twice on your career’s wargear table, you and every other member of the retinue gain the rolled wargear.

Loyal Retainers
Loyal Retainers (Beloved by the Troops) – increase your Rank by 2 for purpose of Warband recruitment.

Mighty Warrior
Mighty Warrior (Growing Mettle) – you gain +0.2 Fractional CAF per Rank.

Skilled Fighter
Skilled Fighter (Jungle Fighter) – you gain +0.2 Fractional CAF in woods or similar dense terrain.
Skilled Fighter (Saddle-born) – you gain +0.2 Fractional CAF when riding a Bike or Mount.
Skilled Fighter (Street Fighter) – you gain +0.2 Fractional CAF in buildings.
Skilled Fighter (Strike from the Sky) – you gain +0.2 Fractional CAF when equipped with a Jumppack or while having the skimmer or flyer rules.
Skilled Fighter (Unarmed Combat) – you gain +0.3 Fractional CAF when not equipped with a Close Combat Weapon.

Skilled Gunner
Skilled Gunner (Artillerist) – you may once reroll the Scatter die of a vehicle weapon you are firing.
Skilled Gunner (Deadly Aim) – you may once reroll one Aim die when firing a vehicle weapon at a target using a hit diagram.

Stealthy
Stealthy (Hide in Plain Sight) – when not in cover, attacks against you suffer a -1 modifier as if you were in cover. At least half the retinue must possess Stealthy (Hide in Plan Sight) for the retinue to benefit from the talent.

Tactician
Tactician (Counter Move) – you may force your opponent to reroll initiative.

Ultimate Authority
Ultimate Authority (Power Behind the Throne) – gain 1 Power per year.

Vehicle Repair
Vehicle Repair (Builder) – you gain a +1 modifier to all rolls to assemble Tech-Arcana.
