Resembling a cross between a crippled tree and an old street lantern, Dark Lament beacons are strong homing devices for ebb detection and reality folding abilities. Such effects specifically targeting the beacon or the area directly around it have their range significantly increased thus. A beacon must be set in place before it can be used as an ebb signal fire in this way.

An ebb-user can detect or fold to the location of a beacon from four-times the normal range.
