Teiresias Augury Vessel – Homer in Warhammer 40,000

A Reading from Homer by Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema
Homer-a-Day, Day 15: Teiresias

Teiresias Augury Vessel
The Teiresias was an augury vessel of the Adeptus Mechanicus. Her wreck is adrift within a remote and inaccessible shoal zone of dangerously instable planetary debris, the proud sensor towers smashed by violent impacts, their fabled archeotech eyes long dead and blind.

Despite the Teiresias’ outward appearance, massive amounts of data gathered during millenia of galactic observation still linger in her dormant memory banks and mind echoes of former crew are said to still haunt the command interfaces. She has thus become the destination of secret pilgrimages for those, whose quest for cosmic truths has left them stranded at the ends of their own knowledge and ability.

Visiting the Teiresias and successfully communing with its data vaults and their spirits will lend 200 Achievement Points toward any Exploration objective.

yandere: […] Homer weeks for 40k.
blut_und_glas: […] Homer-a-Day?

Homer-a-Day – one Homer inspired Warhammer 40,000 article per day, for one month. Pure hubris, incited when a stroll through our own archives led first to reexamining the Odysseus Pattern Astartes Greatbow and then to the exchange quoted above.

Don’t uncork what you can’t contain.
