The Gift was designed to provide the infantry forces of the Stormer legions with organic fire support capabilities. As heavier weapons remain concentrated with the Mobile Artillery the Gift is chambered for 40mm rounds. But not only in respect to calibre is the Gift a light weapon. Mounted on a small two-wheeled carriage the gun can be easily moved into position by its crew and is light enough to also accompany an infantry unit on the march even if no transportation is available, carried or towed by the Stormers.
