Career: Techpriest
The full career as pdf.

And as a test, putting together a 175-points techpriest:

Magos Exemplaris Hieronymus Testor, 175 points make him a Rank 4 Techpriest, and thus a Magos (in his particular case, a Magos Exemplaris to be exact), his Fractional CAF starts at 0 and his Morale Value is 4.

As a techpriest, he starts with three skills, Techcraft and two Languages (Low Gothic and Techna-Lingua), and two talents, Vehicle Repair and Ambassador (Techguard), and is armed with a reliable laspistol (Pistol).

With the first 25 out of the 175 total points, we buy one roll on the Talent table: 81, Extremely Skilled. Magos Testor gets Medicae as an additional skill and receives +1 on all skill tests. 150 points remain to ne spent.

For 15 points, we supplement his wargear with a random item: 46, Superior Weapon. As we are in character creation, we apply this to one of his existing weapons – his one existing weapon: His laspistol, it turns out, is extremely accurate (Positive Weapon Quality: Precision). 135 points remaining.

Another 25 points for another talent: 98, Knowledge Seeker. Our Magos knows an awful lot about awful mutants (Forbidden Knowledge: Mutants) and will be quick to accumulate more knowledge. 110 points remaining.

As our talents also gave us extra skills, we invest another 15 points in wargear: 82, Bionics. As the Magos has no permanent injuries (yet), these bring no benefit. 95 points remaining.

Another 15 points for wargear: 51, Superior Weapon. This time, we save the benefit for the next weapon we will receive. 80 points remaining.

And to obtain said next weapon, we roll once more on the wargear table for 15 points: 59, Superior Weapon. 65 points remaining.

And one more try to get a weapon to apply Superior Weapon to (15 points): 33, Basic Weapon. Which becomes Superior and additionally, we give it a negative quality as to obtain a second positive quality: We select two counts of Penetration and as the negative Short Ranged – a potent meltagun, handcrafted according to a venerable set of blueprints. 50 points remaining and one more Superior Weapon to be assigned.

As Superior Weapon can also be applied to implated weaponry, we try our luck at the talent tables, spending 25 points for a roll: 16 – which – just barely – indeed gives us Implant Weapons! As meltagun and precision laspistol have us covered for (short) ranged attacks, we select a Superior Close Combat Weapon as the implanted weapon, a shock claw at the end of an agile servo limb. 25 points remaining.

Our last 25 points, too, go into a roll on the talents table: 59, Bionic Enhancements.

This now gives us:

Magos Exemplaris Hieronymus Testor
Rank 4 Techpriest (175 Points)

Fractional CAF: +0.5 (0 career, +0.4 Superior Close Combat Weapon, +0.1 Bionic Enhancements)
Morale Value: 4 (+1 to skill tests)
