Before a mission, the retinue can equip itself with an overabundance of grenades, bombs, and explosives. Gain one extra D6 for one close combat during the mission. If the retinue is eliminated before this extra D6 has been used, Casualty Recovery is at -1.

Virus Bomb
Requires Medicae, Scholastic Lore (Chymistry)
The retinue gains an additional attack. Place a barrage template within 10cm of the retinue and roll for scatter using the scatter die and an artillery die. If a misfire is rolled, the Virus Bomb fails, its payload having gone inert. Any troop stands or models fully or partially under the template are eliminated on a roll of 3+. No Saving Throws are allowed, but robots, daemons, and troops wearing enviro-sealed armour such as Power Armour or Terminator Armour are immune, as are vehicles (unless open topped or otherwise unsealed). Before removing a stand or model as a casualtys, place a barrage template centered on them, this barrage template works as the original Virus Bomb, including the placement of a new barrage template on any casualties caused. This is a one-shot weapon. When used, it does leave behind one fragment per troop stand or model eliminated.
New Positive Weapon Quality:
Barrage
Not applicable to Close Combat Weapons. When at least four weapons in the retinue possess this quality, replace the retinue’s Attack Dice and Roll to Hit with 1 Barrage Point. Weight of Fire, Anti-tank the, Penetration, Long Range, Digital Weapon, Torrent, and Anti-Psi on any weapons without Barrage are ignored. Heavy Weapons with Barrage and Weight of Fire add 1 Barrage Point instead of 1 Attack Die. Grenade launchers and mortars are the typical example of portable barrage weapons.
