Armoured Thurible Boots
Sometimes seen as part of specially crafted power armour of the Sororitas, these armoured boots contain chambers under the soles with burners and vents for sacred incense. With every step, blessed smoke wafts from and around the boots stinging in the eyes and noses of the heretic while the pain from the heated metal reminds the faithful of the burdens they must carry.
In Dark Heresy and its related Warhammer 40.000 Roleplay games Rogue Trader, Deathwatch, Black Crusade, and Only War, thurible boots are a very rare modification that can be fitted to a suit power armour.
Donning the boots and lighting the incense inflicts 1 point of damage on the wearer which cannot be healed while the boots are worn. For wearers with the Flagellant talent, this counts as their daily castigation session.
The burning incense imposes a -10 modifier on all tests made by daemons or warp entities within melee range of the wearer. Unarmed attacks (kicks) made by the wearer count as holy.
