The Smoking Slippers
As you open the door, there is a loud bang and bright flash in the room (Constitution saving throw DC 12 or be deafened and blind for 1d4 rounds). As your vision clears, you can see a pair of slippers embroidered with mystical symbols standing in the middle of the room, a thin whisp of smoke curling up from them. The slippers contain a smallish heap of warm ashes.
