emTrans
One of the greatest challenges to working in multi-species teams and with people from across a wide range of planetary and corporate backgrounds lies in non-verbal communication. Facial expressions and body language can vary to such a degree that subtext and indeed the whole meaning of messages can get lost and situations and emotional states can be completely misread. emTrans aims to address these issues by providing a quick and easy to read guide to understanding such non-verbal cues. Using a Reality Overlay interface, emTrans will display icons from a pre-selected set next to persons, signifying their emotional state as identifiable from their expressions, posture and movements, with an option to access more detailed information such as the probabilities and decision path leading to the choice of icon, as well as excerpts from various cultural profiles.
emTrans retails for 11c.
Game Use:
emTrans reduces penalties from difficulties in interpreting facial expressions and body language by 1. This is only applicable as long expressions/body language can be clearly observed.
