Achilles Pattern Astartes Power Armour – Homer in Warhammer 40,000

A Reading from Homer by Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema
Homer-a-Day, Day 1: Achilles

Achilles Pattern Astartes Power Armour
Power armours of the Achilles pattern contain integrated generators for an exceptionally strong but unstable force field. Often worn together with a dependable storm shield, such a combination renders its bearer nigh unassailable – and prone to a most dangerous hubris.

Achilles pattern armour counts as standard Astartes power armour. In addition, it provides protection in the form of a force field with a rating of 75 and an overload roll of 30. While the armour receives the normal benefits of exceptional and master craftsmanship, the force field does not (i.e., its overload roll cannot be reduced). Achilles pattern power armour has a requistion of 30 and, as power armour, must be acquired as signature gear. It is available for Astartes of famed renown.

yandere: […] Homer weeks for 40k.
blut_und_glas: […] Homer-a-Day?

Homer-a-Day – one Homer inspired Warhammer 40,000 article per day, for one month. Pure hubris, incited when a stroll through our own archives led first to reexamining the Odysseus Pattern Astartes Greatbow and then to the exchange quoted above.

Don’t uncork what you can’t contain.
