Eos Pattern Implantation Servitor
Implantation servitors are an almost forgotten sub-type of semi-monotask medicae servitors, designed solely to assist with the attachment of bionics any cybernetics. Advanced patterns, including the mostly surpressed Eos, may even be able to perform such procedures on their own without direct supervision. In this, the Eos shows an almost preternatural skill and dexterity as it deftly adjusts implant settings and flesh, seemlingy parting of its own volition under the touch of the servitor’s impossibly long instrument fingers, is reknit into new and improved functional shapes. Superior performance may be thus coaxed from even crude replacement parts. However, not always does it appear likethe Eos follows the orders of any sane operator.
Installation of bionics or implants by an Eos pattern implantation servitor has the following effects:
The base time required for the implantation process is reduced to 1d10 days and the character gains one Corruption Point.
In addition, the craftsmanship of any bionics or implants installed may be increased to up to Best craftsmanship at no additional cost. If the craftsmanship is increased by one step in this way, the character gains one random minor mutation. If the craftsmanship is increased by two steps, the character gains two random minor mutations. If the craftsmanship is increased by three steps, the character gains one random minor and one random major mutation. Also, if the craftsmanship is increased by any amount, the character gains an additional 1d5 Corruption Points in addition to the single point automatically gained.

blut_und_glas: […] Homer-a-Day?
Homer-a-Day – one Homer inspired Warhammer 40,000 article per day, for one month. Pure hubris, incited when a stroll through our own archives led first to reexamining the Odysseus Pattern Astartes Greatbow and then to the exchange quoted above.
Don’t uncork what you can’t contain.
