When talking about how to improve both player characters and playing characters, the first question should probably be: “What?” You know, as in “What exactly is it that you wish to improve upon? What aspect of the character and playing the character? What is the character in the first place? What function does it serve?”. At least these are the questions we ask in the full German version of this article.
