Veteran of Soldberg
In the mercenary city of Soldberg, supplies of soldiers for hire often far outstrips actual demand and the resulting price dumping mostly affects veteran mercenaries. Not only do they have to contend with huge numbers of much cheaper and just as – if not more – willing green troops, but also with one another, making their experience much less of an unique selling point than elsewhere.
Regular mercenaries (up to fighter level 1) are only slightly cheaper in Soldberg (-10%), but veterans (level 2 and up) often offer their services at significantly reduced rates (up to -50%).
