Report Card 2018

d6
End of the year again: Which of our 2018 targets did we actually meet?

We plan to maintain our standard output categories in 2018:

  • house rules, background ideas, and other material for Blue Planet, D&D, SLA Industries, The Red Star, Unknown Armies, Warhammer 40.000 Roleplay and other games
  • reports and updates on our own homebrews, such as Beutelschneider or Unknown Mobile Suit

Everything done (as usual?).

Furthermore, there are a couple of formats and contribution types we plan to maintain in a regular fashion:

  • a monthly Ideas Overflow listing ideas we had but did not (yet) do full articles on
  • monthly lists of 10 things on the 10th
  • trawling our archives for each German RPG bloggers’ carnival
  • contributing at least one non-archive article to each carnival
  • a daily article series in August to act as a counterpoint to the inevitable RPG-a-Day
  • at least three more daily series in other months

Again, everything accomplished. We even over-accomplished the last two gaols, with two daily series in August (although just one as the explicit counter to RPG-a-Day) and four more daily series in other months.

Of our various SLA Industries related projects, we want to make visible progress on at least two of them (pledging anymore than that seems like courting further disaster):

  • the Progress (working title) SLA Industries fanzine
  • bringing back the SLA Industries Equipment Log
  • the Opera Program SLA Industries reimagining
  • the Skin Trade sourcebook

Here, we start to slack off. The Equipment Log is back and we even did talk (the tiniest bit) about the Skin Trade, but we did not do any actual work on the latter and neither did we on any of the other projects.

Also, 2018 is the obvious year to finally come around to this:

  • the closing remarks on the August 2014 German RPG bloggers’ carnival

And we even managed to meet this final target.

All in all, an improvement from last year, but then again, we tried to hang the bar lower…

See you in 2019!
