A little lingual/creative stretching exercise.
- STA – sexually transmitted … aphasia (might make a decent start for an investigative adventure figuring out where all those people unable to talk suddenly come from)
- STB – sexually transmitted … bifurcation(as in personality/mind forking, an entity that overwrites its sexual partners mind/personality with a copy of their own – or maybe the other way round? an entity that is, in a way, extinguished by having sex, being replaced by a copy of its partner?)
- STC – sexually transmitted … code (probably something cyberpunk-ish, repurposed sexbots optional)
- STD – sexually transmitted … disease (well…)
- STE – sexually transmitted … energy (too easy, sex magic power source, it’s the core concept in a way)
- STF – sexually transmitted … fungus (getting away from the common diseases after the D was not that easy, make it Fast Fungus and it becomes Blue Planet at least – continuing along this line, sexually transmitted fast fungus infections might actually be quite nasty, it does break down many of the common bioplastic compounds of Blue Planet after all and so might eat through protection and also damage contraceptive devices)
- STG – sexually transmitted … glamour (this sounds like something a grump changeling who turned out to be a doctor might come up with in Changeling: the Dreaming)
- STH – sexually transmitted … hatred (not hate sex, but keeping very closely with the STD idea with hatred as a disease, maybe have some hateful cult spread that way? if it weren’t for the phrasing, this might actually work for Relthea or one of her minor circle deities in Freeya, but I am a loathe to really use that there as the phrasing – any my knowledge of the original phrasing, even if I were to put another name on it, produces a pretty sharp disconnect for me)
- STI – sexually transmitted … ideas (because infectious information needs a vector, too)
- STJ – sexually transmitted … justice (if you can transmit hatred, can you transmit a sense of justice as well? the apparent weirdness of that thought is what keeps me thinking about it and putting it here, plus I try to keep clear of the redemption/purification via sex/love trope)
- STK – sexually transmitted … killswitch (if for some reason you do not want to have your genhanced supersoldiers to engage in sexual activities… maybe you do not want them to procreate but could not figure out how to make that impossible for them another way, or they are not supposed to learn how to love, or some other pseudo-reason)
- STL – sexually transmitted … luck (must be your lucky day)
- STM – sexually transmitted … memories (but is this more in the sense of memories involuntarily bleeding into your partner, a loss of self, or mind containment in a way? or is it a voluntary sharing, perhaps building on self-propagation?)
- STN – sexually transmitted … nanoware (this exercise actually started with this mental image)
- STO – sexually transmitted … orders (if information in general can be transmitted, then so can instructions)
- STP – sexually transmitted … perception (P was a tough letter to decide, the idea with this is perception being shared, being able to use your partner’s senses afterwards, I initially envisioned this as one-sided and the result of a conscious effort, but a two-sided effect and/or this happening unbeknownst – at least at first – also open some possibilities)
- STQ – sexually transmitted … quintessence (I am not sure why the World of Darkness stuff keeps to seep in here, but we are obviously looking at Mage: the Ascension)
- STR – sexually transmitted … rage (much the same as with hatred above)
- STS – sexually transmitted … spell (and back to the sex magics)
- STT – sexually transmitted … targetting (either marking a target via sex, or sharing target information)
- STU – sexually transmitted … unity (constructing a hive mind)
- STV – sexually transmitted … vampirism (splitting the feeding from the propagation of the
speciescondition) - STW – sexually transmitted … winter (still with the wintry apocalypses, something about spreading cold, coldness, actual winter perhaps, underlying mystery of a campaign?)
- STx – sexually transmitted … x (x as in placeholder)
- STY – sexually transmitted … yandere (just in case you read this)
- STZ – sexually transmitted … zero (also hooks into the apocalypse stuff – it is the other half of the Zero Winter, after all – with a more pronounced techno-mystic bend to it)

Sorry to bend this in the direction of Earthdawn, but STH – Sexually Transmitted Horror just opens sooo many creepy possibilities…

Indeed it does! (And no need to be sorry about bringing it up!)
While there is the precedent of the dread iotas for horrors themselves taking the form of pathogens, the first route I would go would probably be a unique horror mark that can be shared/passed on via sex (it might actually “wander” instead of spread – so the original host becomes free of it by pushing it onto a partner, creating additional guilt and misery; this also reminds me of an older concept I have lying about here somewhere where a horror mark is transmitted via breast milk).

The idea of a Horror Mark passed on through intercourse is incredibly intriguing, especially regarding the psychological ramifications on the former host – technically free from the Horror’s direct influence, but still full of guilt and anguish. Or perhaps cold and uncaring and prone to contract the Mark this way again.
The idea of Horror influence spread through breast milk I’d rather interpret in the way of drug addiction, with a bloatform-like creature consisting almost only of dripping teats. Maybe think of it as a more terrifying version of Futurama’s Slurm and the Wormulon Queen…

Concerning the wandering mark, perhaps passing it on is not automatic but requires a test, with the test getting easier (via a step bonus perhaps) each time the marked character is with the same partner. This could be used to further reinforce the theme of guilt/anguish/betrayal by having the marking happen in longer relationships instead of during one night stands.
