28 enchantments and 3 wishes in thrice accursed, enchanted, bewitched January.
Today: A ring which makes things both visible and invisible as the 10th enchantment
Ring of True Form
This is a ring of invisibility on which also lasts the curse of the fomorians – that is, it will transform you to make your body and visage reflect your innermost being (also see Monster Manual, page 136).
Unknown to all but the king himself, the ring was stolen from the fomorian king U’glub’badan, who will do anything in his power to regain his lost treasure.
Due to its cursed nature, the twisting effect of the ring also stays in effect after taking it off your finger. This could explain why the last owner, a notorious thief, was loathe to become visible.
Thoughts
What I really like about the ring is that the king never became aware of it being cursed – after all, he was already subject to the same curse anyway, ring or no ring.
