Campaign(Concept)aDay – The Dream Dies

CampaignConcepaDay
August. Let’s not talke about RPGaDay. Let us rather embark on a journey into K-Space and through a selection of the endless possibilities for campaigns.

The Dream Dies

This one is influenced by and has connections to a number of other things and concepts and ideas, but I really don’t know if and if then how I am going to address those (probably I simply won’t – which will help to keep this on the brief side and will once more make it one of those illegible entries in the monthly series – but then, it will be the latter anyway I guess).

A SLA Industries campaign starting with a bang – in the background. A very, very big stone being thrown into a very, very deep water. Out of sight of the characters (though some cutscenes or companion pieces might be a possibility), who will have to deal with the ripples. Or face the tsunami, rather. Nothing to worry about. What is the worst that could happen?

This unheard bang is a purge at the very highest levels of the company, resulting in a reordering of power structures at the top. Once in motion, its very dynamic (unless events in play dictate otherwise – although that is going to be quite unlikely at this early stage of the campaign) is going to shift SLA Industries into an offensive stance versus the super- and unnatural forces of dissolution, which gnaw at the bones of the World of Progress, and against whom the company had been on the defensive for the last half millenium or more.
