Media Kraken
There is more context for this in German, but I really cannot be bothered to translate or rewrite this at the moment, so this glimpse at a fragment of the setting in question will have to suffice.
What the campaign I am thinking of for this setting is about is the following:
Journalism.
Characters as a media team covering political disintegration, election manipulation, and unatoned for warcrimes in an imperfect future interstellar democracy, deeply wounded after lost wars and economic malaise.
Journalism is also meant as a sort of utopian access to a setting that – as the above themes may indicate – generally is rather bleak. The idea being that by shining light on things and revealing the truth of events, the characters may actually be able to change things by (in contrast to the very manipulation attempts they are [un-]covering) giving back the power to decide to the ordinary citizen, thus maybe helping to heal democracy amongst the stars.
A press campaign.

Finde ich auch spannend. Hatte ich mal für Shadowrun vorgehabt, klassische Journalisten und die Aufdeckung der Universellen Bruderschaft.
Sowas fände ich als Spieler richtig spannend, für den Spielleiter dürfte es einen erheblichen Aufwand bedeuten.

Ich bin mir gar nicht so sicher, ob das in dem Fall hier so viel Aufwand wäre. Viel von dem, an das ich denke, ergibt sich recht geradlinig aus Setzungen zum Hintergrund.
Klar, die wollte ich ja laut verlinkten Artikel schwer überarbeiten, also doch wieder Aufwand, aber einmal kein spezifischer für die Kampagne, und zum Anderen wären gerade die politischen Teile, was ich größtenteils beibehalten würde. Konkret zum Beispiel das eigenwillige Wahlsystem, aus dem sich die Manipulationsmechanismen ergeben würden.
