Flyers…

The Shortcut Flyer
There is a rumour in the Occult Underground about an airplane that can take you anywhere in the world in no time. That rumour is false. That plane cannot take you anywhere in the world but it can take you to someplace else.

This Airbus 330-300 (ICAO Aircraft Type Designator A333) is exactly 7 cm shorter than it should be. It is the physical representation of the crossroads to an Otherspace that connects to all airports across the world. By performing the correct ritual, which consists mostly of normally totally inadvisable manipulations of the cockpit controls as well as a lot of cigarette smoking, the plane’s pilot can land it at the otherworldly airport and just a short walk away from literally anywhere (anywhere that has an airport, that is). As always, however, the difficulty is with getting through security. Otherspace customs and immigration can be a bit … rough. Once through, though, you are at whatever airport your pilot decided to drop you off at. After taking off again, the plane itself returns to its original course where it left off without a hitch.

Perceptive passengers (not to mention crew) might still gain the impression that something is a bit fishy even without ever leaving the plane on its little stop outside reality, which provokes an Unnatural stress check (not the best of things to happen to you, considering air marshals and all – ignorance is indeed bliss).

…and pilots

How he manages to hold down his pilot’s license, let alone an airline job while also being into the occult up to his captain’s shoulder pieces, if not up to his aviators or the peak of his cap – depending on whom you ask – is anybody’s guess. At least for now, he does manage, though, and he also manages to get away with people going missing after flights on his plane from time to time.
