Day 5: SLA Industries
Summer Bloom
Following a series of unusually warm – and nutrient rich – rainfalls, the algae population of a reservoir in Upper Downtown explodes and dangerous toxins begin to accumulate in massive concentrations. What starts out with a few dead rats, pigs and carriens, threatens to turn into a summer day seeing sector-wide mass death scenarios when the cyclic water supply system shifts to the contaminated reservoir.

Seasons and Mort is an interesting topic. Thinking about it in terms of the summer-day-a-day campaign, had algae blooms pop up in my mind as a decidedly “summerly” event that fits in well with the dead rainy planet as I imagine it.
