Days of Ruin: Brigade Depot 38 – a ruin for The Red Star

Ruinen
Daily ruins (at least it is planned to be daily in the German version).

Day 1: The Red Star

Brigade Depot 38

This harbor and bunker complex was tunneled into the rocky shore of the Sea of Hyrkahn during the height of the URRS’ military might and the decades long Ironhold. Since the formations deactivation following the fall of the URRS, the former base of the 38th amphibious landing brigade of the Red Fleet has fallen into disuse and ruin. Tide and time have left their mark upon the forlorn facility, massive bulkheads and sea gates rusted shut – or through -, naked steel reinforcements jut from splintered concrete, stalagmites grow from ceilings, while sheets of toxic algae and old fuel cover subterranean piers.

Deep within the bunkers rest the skeletons of the superheavy Anyuta-class assault ekranoplans, which formed the backbone of the former brigade’s striking power. Written off as total losses, there still are three largely intact Anyutas among the ten wrecks – so intact in fact, that with a month’s work and a successful Craft (mechanical) check against DC 20, a fully armed and operational Anyuta-A may be reconstructed.
