Maiden World Chryseis – Homer in Warhammer 40,000

A Reading from Homer by Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema
Homer-a-Day, Day 21: Chryseis

Maiden World Chryseis
Like so many of its kind, the maiden world Chryseis lies at the heart of bitter conflicts. In the case of Chryseis, though, these are not conflicts between the settling Imperium and the Eldar intent on reclaiming the world they seeded, but internecine conflicts within the Imperium, coming on the heels of the order to render the world to the Eldar without a fight. Although this was ostensibly based on a sign by the Emperor received through the Imperial Tarot, the decision is hotly resented not just by the settlers but by many orthodox factions and organisations within the Imperium.

blut_und_glas: […] Homer-a-Day?

Homer-a-Day – one Homer inspired Warhammer 40,000 article per day, for one month. Pure hubris, incited when a stroll through our own archives led first to reexamining the Odysseus Pattern Astartes Greatbow and then to the exchange quoted above.

Don’t uncork what you can’t contain.
