The 5HT is an unusual pistol. This begins with choice of calibre, 9 mm licensed from BLA, and the squeeze trigger, but the immediately obvious main features are its action and barrel assembly. Five ceramic barrels are stacked one atop the other, with each barrel featuring its own chamber manually loaded with a single bullet. The whole assembly is attached to a grip in a way reminiscent of brass knuckles or a katar. The barrels can be fired singly or all at the same time, and can be loaded with different types of ammunition. Without moving parts – the firing mechanism uses an electric ignition – the 5HT is a very quiet weapon, a feature which can be further enhanced by adding up to five silencers. Flash suppressors and laser pointers can also be added to each barrel individually, while the pistol as a whole can be equipped with sights and recoil baffling. Due to its unique design a stock cannot be mounted.
