Silver Bullets – a treasure for horror

Loot-a-Day, Day 11: Treasure in the remains of an undead

Silver bullets
In the ashes left behind by the vampire, you find a full magazine’s worth of silver bullets.

Why horror?
Because we couldn’t decide on a single game. Again.

The Marxist Gamer: Then how about something funny.
blut_und_glas: The black pearls required to create undead in D&D in a way are just a stand in for money. Which led me to think about just having them find coins in a skeleton warrior’s skull. The necromancer has to insert those through a slot chiseled into the skull during the animation ritual. A necromantic slot machine. Coin operated undead. … too much?
The Marxist Gamer: Too much.
blut_und_glas: What other undead are there?
The Marxist Gamer & blut_und_glas: Zombies!
The Marxist Gamer: Mythologically, werewolves can also be counted as undead.
blut_und_glas: No, I feel that requires too much explanation. On the other hand… silver bullets in the remains of a vampire – left overs from the last would be vampire hunter, who did not get the whole werwolf-vampire distinction.

Loot-a-Day is a month-long German blogging challenge by fellow German blogger Greifenklaue, who was inspired by ArtifactaDay which we ran last August as a counterpoint to RPGaDay in Germany. We followed up on this with two more marathons of daily content about artificial creatures and science-gone-too-far, respectively, and now Greifenklaue seeks to spread the format.
