The Gift of the Magi – a treasure for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Loot-a-Day, Day 18: Alien

The Gift of the Magi
This sarcophagus seems to be made of some strange metal you have never encountered before and is covered in gems glowing in green and amber and red. It is ice cold to the touch, a thin layer of freezing air wafting about it. Its lid is mostly made of glass so that you can see within.

Inside rests the body of a tall man of slender build, swathed in dark robes of an unfamiliar foreign cut. His complexion is the paleness of death but with a weird purplish tint to it. His head is large and completely bald. Black piercing eyes stare, unseeing, through the glass, almost hypnotic despite the absence of life. His mouth stands slightly open and through his thin lips you can glimpse hints of what appear to be rows of sharpened teeth, more reminiscient of predatory fish than man… or vampire.

Why Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay?
We saw it as an opportunity for a sort of preview, really.

Loot-a-Day is a month-long German blogging challenge by fellow German blogger Greifenklaue, who was inspired by ArtifactaDay which we ran last August as a counterpoint to RPGaDay in Germany. We followed up on this with two more marathons of daily content about artificial creatures and science-gone-too-far, respectively, and now Greifenklaue seeks to spread the format.
